Yoga and wellbeing for schools, charities and communities
Inclusive, accessible sessions designed around the people taking part.
Community Yoga with Sam works with schools, SEND settings, charities, community groups and family organisations to create yoga and wellbeing sessions that feel safe, supportive and appropriate for the people in the room. Sam also offers pre & postnatal yoga and wellbeing services for community and private clients.
Every group is different, so sessions are adapted around age, ability, confidence, mobility and the wider needs of the organisation.
Wellbeing that meets people where they are
For some people, traditional yoga spaces can feel intimidating or simply unsuitable.
Sam’s approach is different.
Sessions are designed to be flexible, welcoming and realistic, with movement adapted around the needs of the group rather than expecting everyone to do the same thing in the same way.
That could mean working with children who need a calmer, more sensory-friendly approach, supporting older adults with gentle movement, or creating a wellbeing session for a community group where confidence and accessibility matter just as much as the activity itself.
Schools & SEND
Yoga and wellbeing sessions can be adapted for schools, specialist settings and groups of children with different needs.
The focus is on accessible movement, confidence, calm and creating a positive experience rather than performance.
Sessions can be delivered as one-off workshops, enrichment activities or part of a longer programme.
Charities & Community Organisations
Sam has extensive experience working within the charity and community sector, including senior leadership roles with organisations such as Barnardo’s and Family Action.
That experience shapes the way she works with community organisations today.
Sessions can be created around the people you support, whether that means gentle movement, stress reduction, confidence building or simply providing a welcoming space to pause and reset.
Adults & Community Settings
Gentle, adaptable yoga and movement can support people who may not feel comfortable attending a traditional class.
Sam can tailor sessions around mobility, confidence and the needs of the group, including chair-based and supported movement where appropriate.
More than a yoga teacher
Sam’s background is one of the things that makes Community Yoga with Sam different.
Before moving into yoga and wellbeing, she spent years working in senior leadership within the charity sector, supporting families, teams and communities.
That means she understands that a successful session is not just about the activity itself.
It is about the people in the room, the environment they are in, how comfortable they feel and what the organisation is trying to achieve.
Her yoga and wellbeing training now sits alongside that experience, creating sessions that are practical, inclusive and rooted in genuine community work.
Flexible sessions for your organisation
Community and school sessions can be delivered in different formats depending on what you need.
This might be a one-off workshop, a half-day activity, a full-day programme or a longer-term series of sessions.
Pricing is tailored around the setting, group size and level of support required, with clear options available for schools, charities and community organisations.
If you have a group in mind, the best place to start is with a conversation.
FAQs
What types of wellbeing activities does Sam offer?
Yoga is only one part of Sam's work. Sessions can include accessible movement and yoga, one-to-one wellbeing support, emotional scale workshops, vision board activities and other practical wellbeing activities. Sam can combine different approaches depending on the group, setting and outcomes you're looking for.
Do you work with schools and SEND settings?
Yes. Sam works with schools and SEND settings to provide accessible wellbeing activities that can be adapted around the age, needs and abilities of the people taking part. This can include group workshops, movement-based sessions and individual wellbeing support.
Can you create a programme specifically for our organisation?
Yes. There isn't a one-size-fits-all Community Yoga with Sam programme. Sam will talk to you about the people you support, the challenges you're seeing and what you'd like to achieve, then recommend activities and a format that make sense for your setting.
Do your sessions have to include yoga?
No. While yoga and accessible movement are an important part of what Sam offers, they don't have to form part of every session. Sam also delivers wider wellbeing activities including emotional scale workshops, vision board sessions and one-to-one wellbeing support.
Can Sam provide one-to-one wellbeing support?
Yes. Alongside group activities, Sam can work individually with people who would benefit from more personalised wellbeing support. The approach can be adapted around the individual and the objectives agreed with the organisation.
What is an emotional scale workshop?
Emotional scale workshops help participants explore and better understand their emotions, recognise how they're feeling and develop greater awareness of their own wellbeing. Sam adapts the activity and delivery to suit the group she is working with.
What organisations does Sam work with?
Sam can work with schools, SEND settings, charities, family support organisations, community groups, care settings and other organisations supporting people within their communities. Her previous senior leadership experience within organisations including Barnardo's and Family Action gives her a strong understanding of the environments these services operate within.
Can you provide one-off workshops and longer programmes?
Yes. Sam can deliver anything from a standalone wellbeing activity or workshop through to half-day and full-day sessions or an ongoing programme. For longer programmes, Sam can work with your organisation to develop a combination of activities rather than repeating the same session each time.
How much do community and school wellbeing sessions cost?
Pricing depends on the type of activity, number of participants, location and whether you're looking for a one-off session or longer programme. As a guide, charity sessions start from £30, with longer-term programmes priced individually.
